Vocational Education Programs
We can offer three options
Within the Vocational Education Programs, we offer the following three options:
1) Program for Electronics and Electrical Engineering (Elektrofag)
2) Program for Design, Arts, and Crafts (Design- og håndverksfag), with the Program Area in Hairstyling (Frisørfaget)
3) Program for Building and Construction (Bygg- og anleggsteknikk), with the following Program Areas:
a) Civil Engineering (Byggteknikk)
b) Climate, Energy, and Environment (Klima, energi og miljø)
c) Surface Technology (Overflateteknikk)
After VG2, students enrolled in Vocational Education Programs have two options. They can either continue as an apprentice and thus receive a Craft Certificate (Fagbrev) or Journeyman’s Certificate (Svennebrev). Alternatively, they can go on to VG3 and receive General Study Competence. The latter option applies also to those who have Vocational Education (Yrkesutdanning) but want to study at a college or university, i.e. they can study one more year (Påbyggingsår), which will give them General Study Competence.
